دليل اختيار أحذية غرف الأبحاث وأغطية الأحذية
Footwear containment prevents floor-level contamination from entering or spreading within the cleanroom. Compare autoclavable boots, integrated booties, disposable shoe covers, and ESD options by grade and application.

Key Decision Factors
Footwear FAQ
Are integrated booties always better than separate boots?
For contamination control: yes — integrated booties eliminate the ankle gap. But they reduce sizing flexibility and increase replacement cost. Grade A/B: integrated is standard. Grade C/D: separate boots with elastic ankle on the coverall offer a practical balance.
Can disposable shoe covers be used in Grade C?
Disposable shoe covers are not recommended for Grade C production areas. They provide a basic barrier only, are prone to tearing, and do not offer the ankle seal that Grade C requires. Use autoclavable boots or dedicated cleanroom shoes instead.
Do I need ESD footwear for my cleanroom?
ESD footwear is needed in semiconductor, electronics, and any cleanroom where electrostatic discharge can damage products. Pharmaceutical and biotech cleanrooms typically do not require ESD footwear unless specific processes demand it.
