Why Cleanroom Garments Matter

Personnel are one of the main sources of contamination inside controlled environments. Proper cleanroom apparel helps limit particle shedding and supports a more controlled workflow.
01

Particle Control

Special cleanroom fabrics help reduce particle dispersion from skin, hair, and inner clothing.

Reusable Protection

Washable and autoclavable garments support repeated use in controlled cleaning and gowning programs.
03

Comfortable Coverage

Full-cut styling, raglan sleeves, and elastic or button closures help balance coverage and wearer comfort.

Cleanroom Suit Applications by Cleanroom Grade

A cleanroom suit (also called a clean room suit, cleanroom coverall or bunny suit) is the main body garment in a cleanroom gowning set. Its job is to keep particles and microorganisms released by people away from the product, the process and the controlled air. MIDPOSI autoclavable cleanroom coveralls are used in pharmaceutical production, biotech, laboratories, medical device assembly and electronics manufacturing. The right suit depends on the area where it is worn:
  • EU GMP Grade A/B (ISO 5 at rest): aseptic filling and sterile areas usually require a sterilized, one-piece coverall worn with a hood, facemask, goggles, sterile gloves and boots, so that no skin or hair is exposed.
  • Grade C (ISO 7) and Grade D (ISO 8): supporting production areas often use a coverall or a two-piece set with a cap or hood and dedicated cleanroom footwear, according to the site’s gowning SOP.
  • Laboratories and electronics areas: lint-free or anti-static coveralls and smocks help limit particle shedding and static build-up around sensitive work.
Always follow your own contamination control strategy and gowning SOP when selecting garments for each grade. For a step-by-step view of how suits are put on in Grade A/B areas, see our Annex 1 cleanroom gowning guide.

Fabric and Construction

MIDPOSI cleanroom suits are made from lint-free cleanroom fabric, with an anti-static (lint-free + anti-static) fabric option for areas that need ESD control. The coverall uses a full-cut unisex design, a front zipper for easier gowning, raglan sleeves for movement, and elastic or stainless steel button closures at the collar, wrists and ankles. White and navy blue are standard colors; other colors can be used to separate cleanroom zones or departments.

Autoclave Rating and Reuse

These are reusable cleanroom garments designed for repeated washing and steam sterilization. MIDPOSI autoclavable cleanroom garments are rated for up to 100 autoclave cycles. The actual service life depends on your laundering process, sterilization parameters and handling, so garments should be inspected regularly for wear, damage or failed seams and retired according to your SOP. Sizing Guide

Cleanroom coveralls are available in XS, S, M, L, XL, XXL, XXXL and XXXXL. A suit that is too tight can tear or pull open at the seams; a suit that is too loose can catch on equipment and pump air out through the cuffs. When ordering for a team, share the height and body size range of your operators and we can recommend a size mix.

OEM and Private Label Cleanroom Suits

Design, size, fabric, color, closure style and packaging can be adjusted to your project. The minimum order quantity for OEM and private label cleanroom garments is 50 pieces, and the typical lead time is about 25 days after the sample and order details are confirmed. See our cleanroom garment OEM and private label guide for the full process.

Cleanroom Suit FAQ

What is a cleanroom suit?

A cleanroom suit is a coverall made from low-linting fabric that covers the body from neck to ankles. It is worn with a hood or cap, mask, gloves and boots so that people do not release particles or microorganisms into the cleanroom.

Are clean room suits and cleanroom coveralls the same thing?

Yes. “Cleanroom suit”, “clean room suit”, “cleanroom coverall” and “bunny suit” are different names for the same one-piece garment.

How many times can these cleanroom coveralls be autoclaved?

MIDPOSI autoclavable cleanroom garments are rated for up to 100 autoclave cycles. Inspect them regularly and follow your own laundering and sterilization procedures.

Which cleanroom suit is suitable for Grade A/B areas?

Grade A/B areas normally require a sterilized one-piece coverall worn with a hood, mask, goggles, sterile gloves and boots. Confirm the exact set against your gowning SOP and Annex 1 requirements.

Do you offer anti-static cleanroom suits?

Yes. Coveralls are available in lint-free fabric or lint-free fabric with anti-static performance.

What is the MOQ and lead time for custom cleanroom suits?

The MOQ for OEM or private label cleanroom suits is 50 pieces, with a typical lead time of about 25 days.
